Information for Young People

In 2009, we published a self advocacy and rights based toolkit for young people who access inpatient child and adolescent mental health services in Ireland. It is called the Headspace Toolkit.

The toolkit provides information on what young people can expect when they go into hospital, what their rights are, who they can talk to and how to speak up for themselves. We developed the toolkit collaboratively with key stakeholders. This included a group of young people themselves so the toolkit was heavily influenced by their views.

We also developed a website version of the toolkit which you can access at: www.headspaceireland.ie

Copies of all the tools are available for download below.
