Training and Development

The Training and Development Division contributes to the development of quality mental health service provision.

Our training programmes examine all aspects of the Mental Health Act, 2001.

We developed a comprehensive e-Learning programme in the Mental Health Act 2001 for the public and for those whose work may bring them into contact with persons suffering from a mental illness or a mental disorder.

The e-Learning programme is made up of 7 modules of interactive learning with a total duration of 14 - 15 Hours. Online assessment on the Act is available and on successful completion a certificate of evidence can be downloaded.

For further information please see our e-Learning programme: e-Learning Programme for Training in the Mental Health Act, 2001.
